I wasn't sure that Leonardo was the right man to portray J. Edgar Hoover. WOW, was I ever wrong! This is an academy award nomination performance. I think this movie portrays a Hoover who was convinced of his mission in life, but who let the job consume his life to a point where he became zealously overwrought in paranoia regarding the agency's scope, and it's place in the legal system of the U.S. Here is a good reason why no one should be allowed to remain in a position of power so long that he becomes a menace to society and himself.
My wife and I were bowled over by the storyline of this movie. Who cares if the words are a bit more than most like to hear. This is a story relevant to our times, or anytime. Clooney is excellent. The supporting cast is excellent. They even dug up Beau Bridges! The familial interplay is completely believable. Scenery out of this world. See this movie.
This is, by far, the best movie I have seen this year. The story is completely gripping in both cinematography and message. I fought back tears from the time Sarah was ripped from her mothers arms at the camp, until I pulled off the freeway near my home in north Columbus. The end scene left me with many emotional paths to reconcile. C(K?)udos and Bravo to the cast, crew, and all who put out effort to bring this film to light!
Finally, we find out how we lost the right to be the dominant species on planet earth! I always wondered why? The animatronics were great. Great casting. Loved the ending. My wife concurs!
I liked all the actors. The graphics were excellent. I liked the use of the nazi designed aircraft. The sneak peek at the next movie in the series really interests me. My wife thought it was a very entertaining, well paced movie.
I liked the plot better than the part 1 beginning. Graphics and animation were above normal. The ending was appropriate. Loved the Emma Watson kiss sequence. The whole movie seemed to move a lot faster than previous episodes. Great job!!
I almost walked out! The beginning was a waste of time! If I wanted a tour of the known universe, I would have stayed home and watched National geographic! The main story line was very tedious. Not very well presented. And, of course, we all had to endure a much shorter trip through the cosmos at the end! Carl Sagan would have loved this movie! Tell me, did Stanley Kubrick sneak into the credits somewhere? This movie was as tedious as "A Clockwork Orange". NUTS!!!!!
I loved the graphics and animation. Really got off on Paralax! What a creep!!!!! The sequel ought to be good. What with green lantern's mentor sucking up to the yellow ring! It will be interesting to see if the writers and videographers can keep the good work coming.
I liked the plot, the actors, and the special effects. Great train wreck scene. Keeping the alien obscured through most of the movie added to the "Creepiness" of the movie. A little far fetched on the spaceship reconstruction, but overall, very entertaining. Well worth the money and time to go see this movie!
I find the movie on a par with the preceeding episodes. Good casting, great backdrops and scenery, but the fight scenes are a little too cluttered, as were most of the other episodes. I will find myself looking forward to Jack's next bout with mayhem and skull duggery!
