I am so happy that I went to the moview as IMAX 3d is was terrific. Yes, the story plot was a little weak but as an entertainment value it was very good. The special effects were of a high caliber and I would recommend it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I was an original Trekkie, I went to the very first convention in NY City so I can consider myself an expert in Star Trek and all the related products. This was an excellent movie, the only thing that I am disappointed in that I did not see in in the Imax version, physically cannot see any Imax movies, oh well. The soundtrack was a little overpowering at times, and I am not sure that the ice planet scene was that necessary for the introduction of another character so important to the movie. But overall, it was much better than the last several Star Trek movies released and hopefully many more will be forthcoming.
