Bale was right to turn this one down initially. I wanted to believe that McG could pull it off but was sadly disappointed. Heavy handed symbolism, spotty script, predictable "surprises", terrible acting (Common, I'm looking at you), gaping plot holes all add up to disappointment. This had the potential to be the best movie of the summer, instead it's a waste.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
