As a Star Trek fan cannon is important to me. The notion of an alternate timeline and how this impact TOS conflicts me. And what of Vulcan?
The plot was typical but it was good to see the real Mr. Spock bridge the story line. Chris Pine did a good job of playing a young Kirk. Uhara ruled! I would like to see a Star Trek TV series with these folks!
When Capt. Chris Pike was captaining the Enterprise I thought to myself maybe they should have made the Star Trek film about the adventures of Capt. Christopher Pike and his crew (yes including Spock and a female #1). Wished it was less "Cloverfield" like and more suspenseful - know what I mean?
Yes, I recommend this movie.
