THE DEATH OF STAR TREK

With one stroke of a pen, the writers of this film have obliterated over 500 hours and ten movies wirth of TREK history. This new timeline was not necessary to tell an origin story. While I enjoyed the film immensely, I found its tinkering with convention jarring. To its credit, the casting was superb and the action/sspecial effects were terrific. I am now curious to see just how Abrams and Co. will continue the story in the new timeline. Rest assured, there will be further disruptions in the STAR TREK universe to come!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
