Absolutely stunning revitalization of the Star Trek property. It was nice and gritty in a way that previous movies didn't achieve and the casting was spot on. Only downsides are that they've basically thrown away the playbook now with the whole time-warp thing and they threw in at least one deus ex machina moment to make everything work. Still, I'm giving this one a tie with Wrath of Khan for best Star Trek movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
