Visuals are fun but plot is derivative

See this movie for the beautiful computer imagery. The 3D effects grab your attention (maybe a little too much -- I found myself noticing the 3D-ness rather than the actual content). But the plot and characters are predictable and unimaginative. They use every tired old Hollywood theme you can think of, especially outsider-sees-the-light-and-goes-native which has been done better many times before.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
