I didn't expect to like the new movie. I didn't know what to expect, I don't watch trailers. But when I went to see it, I found it be very well made. The storyline is before the show, giving you a look at the characters before they have been in Starfleet too long. Spock, people have said, is too emotional, but I think he plays it right since he hasn't purged his emotions yet. The story and Vulcan could be iffy but it works itself out. I simply love the way they played with the lights and sounds, making it artistic in a way. But it is a very good movie, I have recommended 6 times and gone to see 3 times with these recommendees.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
