Not enough 3D effects to warrant paying extra for the tickets; If you saw and liked the original you will be disappointed - Too much of the adventure was left out; The spirit of the original is just that - a vague spirit.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Long, beautiful, Moving

This was my second time seeing the movie and I was even more in awe this time. The first time I was in complete awe of the detail and the effect. The second time allowed me to focus on the more subtle elements of the move, and I was not disappointed. I would be willing to see pay to see the movie a third time and I definitely plan on purchasing the Director's Cut when it comes out. Looking forward to the sequel.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
