Fear of public speaking; the most common phobia. In the opening scene, Colin Firth draws you into his own version of this personal terror, only he has good reason to fear speaking, as we soon discover. This is a film with no special effects, (except for the period staging), no miraculous breakthrough, no violence. It's just about about how normal human beings in extraordinary circumstances manage.
All of the actors in this film are excellent, which is reassuring, considering how many of them seemed to also be in Harry Potter.
This is not a film to miss, on the large or small screen. Even I liked it.
