Been an avid fan of all Star Treks for years. Did not care for the cute CGI glitzy-techno stuff. Science Fiction has moved on to character drama theme ( Battlestar Galactica) with a message. Hard to believe young rebel to be a Captain (couldn't look more than 26 years old). IMAX is not worthy if the film was not filmed with that technology in mind. Have seen better . Movie appeals to teenage testosterone. Good for Blue-ray DVD view.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
