Pure Fun for Trekkers and Newbies alike

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this. I am a ex-Trekker. I went to the first Star Trek convention in NY and had resigned myself to disappoinment. But I wasn't disappointed at all. It is a fun popcorn bubble gum movie with fast action, acceptable writing, surprisingly good acting - the casting is excellent, and a satisfying ending which leaves room for more movies. I would highly recommend it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
