I saw this movie with a friend who grow up on Star Trek but doesn't consider himself as a Trekke. I only watched it a few times on tv , enough to know the main characters but I was totally able to follow the characters and the plot with enthusiasm. My friend who normally has a serious fit if a movie is more than 1:30hr long, didn't even notice that it was 2:06hrs.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
