My husband and I took our son and 4 of his friends. They boys are all teenagers. The movie moved very slowly and I thought the plot was weak. It is about 3 boys who discover a crystal like rock formation underground and begin having powers that allow them to manipulate objects,and fly. They get bloody noses when they use their "powers" and they can sense one another. One of the boys has anger issues (due the abusive relationship with his alcholic dad and he has a dying mom) which get the best of him and in the end he dies after a total destructive romp thru the city with police in pursuit. The movie never really wowed me and the boys were also disappointed. The trailers were awesome and there are a couple good scenes...but overall I expected more I guess. In some areas I was left wanting more. Some of the story line wasn't explained well in my opinion. To sum it up, this movie took elements from Superman, Hancock and Fire Starter and put them together in a way that did no justice to film-making.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
