My husband and I brought our 4 year old daughter to see this movie and it did not disappoint. From the beginning to end it had wonderful unusual twists unlike most predictable American films. I was surprised to see that Disney played a role in bringing it to the US since it featured two parent families and no untimely deaths. These are rare in most Disney animated films. Even for adults, this film is 5 stars.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I hate going back to the beginning scenarios, but this one worked for me. I don’t want to be a spoiler so I’ll just say that this movie brings you back to the beginning for a reason.
It has the right mix of comedy, drama and adventure that has made Star Trek world famous.
Being a long time Star Trek fan, I found the new cast to be a perfect fit (Especially McCoy). The special effects (my favorite was engaging the warp drive) are nothing short of amazing. There was not one dull moment in this over 2 hour film. This movie should launch the next generation of Star Trek Fans. I look forward to many sequels.
Last tip, it’s worth it to catch this film at a big screen theater.
