Saccharine
I wasn't going in expecting to be blown away, and didn't walk out with a changed mind. It was very cliche and they made no attempt to hide that fact. There were some good action scenes and plenty of stuff got blown up. The characters were flimsy at best, and the plot felt forced. I personally felt that the funniest lines & scenes were put into the commercials.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Saccharine
As many have said, the movie did not stay very true to the book. Aside from that, it was a worthwhile movie. Tom Hanks and Ewan McGregor gave great performances and there were very few quiet moments. I was a little disappointed with the ending, though.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
