Not great, you really had to suspend disbelief in order to watch. When most of us leave the Air and Space Museum in Dulles, we end up in the parking lot, not on Davis Monthan Air Force base.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

This movie reminded me of why I go to movies - for entertainment. It was, for me, the right mix of action, drama, and humor. It didn't hurt to have those familiar characters in a new light, it gave them a new dimension. There's bound to be dissenting opinion, given the sheer number of dedicated fans of the old Star Trek, but I felt it was a labor of love from people who'd grown up with the old franchise.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
