Not GREAT...But certainly Very Good

I am 51 years old and so there have been some GREAT movies over the years. While this one, in my opinion, did not rank up there with the GREAT ones, it was very good.
The special effects were AMAZING and though the actors, at times, had cheezy lines, the cast was very good. I thought that the writers did a good job of casting the roles so that they lined up with the original series.
The only issue I had with the entire movie was the bedroom scene early on in the film. It not only had no relevance to the movie itself but it ruined it for parents who do not want their kids to see that kind of stuff. A poor decision on the writers part.
Bottom line...you need to go see this movie if you enjoy a good sci-fi with loads of action!!!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
