"Star Trek Version 2"

*Spoilers below* ... I write this as an old Trekkie. The new movie is action-packed, interesting, has some character moments, and the special effects are great. I can handle the "alternate reality" as I have renamed the movie in my title above. I cannot handle the constant lens flares, the constantly moving camera, and the inconsistent look of the Enterprise interiors, with the engine room really being a brewery in real life, and the rest being an Apple store. I have followed its development, and understand what JJ was going for. I do think it needed to allow more time for the audience to "catch its breath" during the course of the movie. I was worn out, it was so frenetic. I highly recommend reading the prequel comics to get the backstory.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
