Trek History Re-Written

First and foremost, viewing this in IMAX was great. My first IMAX movie, so I thought I would start off right.
On to the movie... Like most fans of the Trek series and movies past, I was a bit skeptical of the new cast and storyline. That skepticism is gone. Abrams has managed to re-write the beginning of the Trek story, making anything else they choose to do with the story believable. On top of that, the new cast has managed to pay sufficient homage to the original characters, while still making them their own. Also love the re-design of the ship and the special effects were top notch. This film reaches out to Trekkers and sci fi fans alike. I highly recommend it.
