Finally, a world class Star Trek Experience

I spent the $5 extra for the IMAX-lite version of the movie and it was well worth it. While note 75 feet wide, it was like watching a 30 foot wide plasma TV. Brilliant picture, incredible detail, awesome sound.
The Star Trek movie was excellent. Great actors who played the roles in the spirit of the original cast. The story line stands by itself yet hooks back into Star Trek lore for fans who know it. Special effects are well thought out so that they provide both the back drop and some of the main elements of the movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
