Good movie and I read the book. Glad they dropped out the idiotic scene from the book where the protagonist jumps from the helicopter holding a tablecloth and lives. Also, I have a problem with the "cover story" issued by the Vatican on the death of the three Cardinals. Why were three of the front runners for pope were said to have died in the fire in the church? Then, the questions arise from the cover story as to why were three of the front runners in a church during conclave and not in the conclave? How did they get out? Otherwise, the movie did a very good job condensing the book and making the story more logical.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
