Star Trek - See it on the big screen

I had low expectations, but enjoyed it from beginning to end. Not a boring moment, and that's saying something for a 2 hour movie. Chris Pine evokes the original Captain Kirk but doesn't do a caricature. He is excellent, as is the entire cast. I didn't recognize Wynona Ryder in her brief role, and it would be great to see her in more features overall because she's so talented. Glad they wrote Leonard Nimoy in, in a fairly sizeable part. As the prequel, you get a bit of a backstory on all the original characters you know and love. At this showing, there were people from age six to 80 enjoying it. Lots of fun. They did it right.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
