Lackluster plot

I saw this movie last night with my son, and felt there was alot missing in the plot. It gives you impression of some relation to religion, but it appears to be something conjured up by writer, with no relevance to scriptures. Action scenes were good, and nice CGI effects, but there is no sense to the plot. There should have been mention of reading the comics Legion:prophets, which serve as a prequel to the movie.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
