Well, what can I say that the rest here hasn't said yet? I believe it was an awesome and breathtaking movie, with a grain of salt, though.
I personally don't like the "contemporary" camera work, which you will find here as well, where too close close-ups, lack of depth of focus, a blurry background and a shaky hand of the cameraman is supposed to convey authenticity of he spectator being right there in the middle of the action.
To all filmmakers: Please get back to the steady-cam or are you in bed with the pain-relief producers?
Anyway, the action in Star Trek is great; again, it would have been better for me, if it had been shot differently. I am still dizzy, therefore I subtracted 1 star.
