When I saw the trailers for this movie, my first thought was "Blair Witch on the moon", and that's basically what it is. I have to say, though, that both me and my husband liked this movie better than Blair Witch, which I liked, but he hated. The audience in the theatre was pretty young, for the most part, and when the movie started I was sure two things were going to happen; the grainy images weren't going to hold the attention of a generation used to HDTV and Blueray, and the significance of the historical references would be lost on them. (I doubt many of them even know that the Russians have never been to the moon.) I might have been wrong on the first point, but I'm pretty sure I was right about the second. Overall, this movie was a fun ride, and about half the audience applauded at the end. There are some good moments that will make you jump out of your seat, but no real gore. This movie is more about suspense than shock. I think seeing it on the big screen also helped improve the experience.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Simply put, this is an outstanding movie. The cast is terrrific and writing excellent. Definitely a contenter for the Best Picture Oscar. If you don't see this movie, in the not-too-distant future you can expect exclamations of disbelief from your friends when they ask, "Have you seen The Help?" They will be shouting "You have too see it! It's soooo good!" It's a highly memorable, emotional movie that will remind you of how far we have come with civil rights, and how far we still have left to go with the rights of others who are still treated differently because of who they were born to be.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Best in the X-Men franchise. Well written and acted. Possibly the best super hero movie ever made.
So many movies are hyped up beyond belief, only to be huge let-downs. This doesn't even come close to a let-down. The film's documentary style and great writing make it highly believable. The central character, Wikus (Sharlto Copely), is an average Joe who finds himself in a situation which forces him to recognize the cruelty and injustice being wrought upon the aliens, aka "Prawns", in which he too has been an active participant. And the justice he helps mete out to some of his human counterparts is absolutely delicious! Go see this film! It's an instant sci-fi classic (I know that phrase is over used, but it's true about this movie) that will be talked about for a long time.
