I admit there were things about the first movie I didn't like because they had been changed from the way I remembered seeing the Transformers as a kid. But it was still an amazing movie and the sequel is no exception. They had a lot more of my favorite Autobots as well as Decepticons, and I was pleasantly surprised at the concept designs they came up with to make the robots seem more real and less boxey than they were in the old cartoon series. The CGI was spectacular and the almost non-stop action made me really glad I didn't buy a drink so I wouldn't have to get up in the middle of the film.
The alternate-reality spin on the original Star Trek plot was an amazing idea. It gives the owners of the franchise the option to start over from scratch, with new story lines and a new history for the characters. It also was a great way to explain the inconsistencies with original.
