I liked the new version profiling less humble beginnings for the family, but the reasoning for each sister's thirst for more and their eventual consequences , may have been more effective keeping the original structure of a struggling family. Also' the original loss made Sparkle's coming out Of the shadow more powerful, but overall I thought the actors were great and the remake was a classy and elegant effort!
