This is one of the best Star Trek movies, but still has a few flaws. The story is engaging and holds your attention throughout. The characters are a little more fun than in the original series because they are younger, more passionate and brash. The special effects and music are first rate. It is also interesting how the story ends with the potential for a whole new series of Star Trek adventures without having to worry about anything conflicting with a previous episode. My biggest complaint was several coincidences that were hard to believe. But, hey, it's fiction. Are warp drive and transporters that believeable either.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
