Avatar is simply the best movie I've seen in a very long time. The story is rich and compelling, and even though the movie runs a bit long, it doesn't really feel that long. The only negative is the script’s rigid adherence to ALL contemporary Hollywood clichés (evil corporation: check; crazed military guy: check; enlightened scientist: check; noble savages: check; gaia persona: check; battle to save nature: check; tough heroine: check; troubled/crippled hero: check!) Still, the story-telling, amazing animation, creative setting, great voice acting, etc more than make up for the banality of the plot. Great flick!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
