Trek is back

Torn between running to see new Trek and worried about changes, the twist/plot point satisfied me. Trek fan or not, this was a great movie. Some actors were great such as Karl Urban's spot on Dr McCoy. Trek’s budget/ effects are unmatched in the franchise. Having much to accomplish for diehard fans and also to just be a genuinely good if not great movie, 2/3 feeling like a buildup of where we thought we were finally going to see the characters&movie go. Bana/Nero and the Romulans never felt like believable characters. Many scenes did feel as if they had been cut down sacrificing plot point leaving just sexiness/ flashiness/comedy. Its still a fantastic movie and hope they have the next installment out soon.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
