my High School presents - Star Trek

I had a headache halfway through. Camera effects and visuals were used to replace acting skills and I felt that these people just didn't want to be together. The IMAX screen made the effects impressive but shaking the camera while someone sat in a chair made me nauseous. The plot reminded me of the last film, the cast all wanted to be captain, Kirk got control of the flag ship by fighting with every member of the cast (note to villain), and the engine room looked like a brewery? This was a commercial filled with product plugs (for shame) and pop-culture references aimed at getting my dollar. Pretend it is some high school cast presenting a summary of the entire franchise with flashy lights and sounds to get through this.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
