Ok Pixar movie but too violent for younger set

Movie has good action sequences, but wasn't a big fan of the car 'deaths' in the movie. Doesn't have as good of a moral center as the original movie.

Decent plot & fun action but all supporting characters felt flat compared to the first one. Decent use of 3D animation, but would have been fine to see this on in 2D. 4-yr-old son was getting bored near the end.

Definitely worth seeing for cutting edge tech

While it is basically "Dances with Wolves" in space w/ Middle East politics commentary, the revolutionary cinematic innovations Cameron created for this movie was phenomenal. A must see in IMAX 3D and visually out of this world (pun intended :-)). While the story was predictable, the amazing facial animation does pull the viewer in emotionally. I will see it again, if just to see the little things I missed the first time around.

Great way to reboot franchise

Nice mix of paying hommage to classic series, while forging ahead in a new direction. Actors conveyed their namesakes quirks effectively, especially McCoy & Kirk. Some lines were cheesy since they were obligatory shout-outs. Overall, a great franchise reboot!
