Oh heck, discard everything you know about Terminator all together and come into this film with low expectations. You will notice some familiar things that reminisce, but it's presented more along the lines of the director paying homage rather than creating continuity to the actual Terminator world. There are a few more inconsistencies through out the movie, but you guys can find them yourselves. They also should have stuck with the original plan to make John Conner NOT the main focus, but rather a supporting character. Should have focused more on Marcus instead and pry into his psyche. Other than that, just enjoy the special effects and the newest (bad@ss) rendition looking T-800's.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
