Star Trek for a new generation

A thrilling take on a classic franchise.
I took my 10 year old son ( he only knows William Shatner as the guy who does commercials for online travel :) ) and he enjoyed it as much as Tranformers. I did have to explain some of the history but, Trekker knowledge not needed to enjoy.
Better make-up and special effects than from my generation ( the first TV series).
Outstanding casting and a hats off to Mr. Nimoy, may he live long and prosper.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
