I was very disappointed with the quality of the dialogue and clarity of the story. The movie was so fast paced that it barely gave you time to appreciate the wonderful environments. The time-travel arc was badly done, confusing and unnecessary. The depth in the relationships between the characters was ultimately shallow. The most important of those relationships, between Kirk, Spock and McCoy, were not well developed. And most disappointing was the development of Kirk and Spock's friendship. I give credit to the design team behind the movie. FANTASTIC. I felt there was no real climax, and the ending was unsatisfying. There were moments of greatness but they were fleeting.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
