Generally not into Prequels

But in this case I'm making an exception. They did a great job tying in elements from the other movies in ways that fit, instead of just forcing a round peg into a square hole for the sake of cramming stuff in.
The only real issue I had was some of the exaggerated gesturing... Does Xavier really need to put finger to temple so we all know he's using his power? Does Magneto really need to strike a Power Ranger pose when he's moving something big? Also, not sure why Angel needed to be a female stripper with dragonfly wings...
Overall, though, grrrrrrrreat flick, with outstanding use of cameos.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
