This was my first IMAX Experience. I have to say it was NOT what I expected. The screen was smaller than I have come to know IMAX to be. With that said, The screen IS larger than standard, the presentation quality was sharper, and the sound quality will blow you away! Being a Star Trek fan from way back , and knowing the original "canon" this movie introduces some odd twists. The new actors are brilliant, the action was incredibly fast paced, the writing very well done with subtle references and humor used throughout. It is a MUST see for Trekkies and a should see for everyone one else. You won't be disappointed.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
