What makes Star Trek great are its characters and this movie holds true to that detail. Spot on casting and fantastic acting are what's going to set the stage for a terrific franchise reboot.
I think this movie definitely could have gone 2 hours 30 mins to help flesh out the plot and develop the villian (Bana) a little more. The story as a whole felt rushed considering they had to spend half the movie giving you the backgrounds of Spock and Kirk.
But regardless, the film never lets up and is always entertaining. Hopefully in the next film they can really hit a high note with a superb storyline to go with the great new cast.
