Wait for the Bluray

I only just saw 1-6 this summer (watched 1-4 with rifftrax). Movies 1-4 are terrible, 5 is tolerable, 6 was okay. Deathly Hallows part 1 was okay, but it doesn't stand on it's own. It's not a movie of its own, its basically a two and a half hour prologue for Part 2. I'm not sure it was worth even seeing this movie in theaters, I could have easily waited for the Bluray to come out. I still plan to see Part 2 in theaters in Summer 2011, mostly because all the cool stuff in the Deathly Hollows preview... WASN'T IN PART 1. Part 1 is just a long prologue, the real movie is Part 2.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

False Advertising: Not really Imax in Little Rock

This movie was shot partly in 65mm, so I went to the Little Rock Imax in Chenal to see it in the best possible quality. What I got was a blurry, screen-door, large pixel 2k projection blown up that looked terrible! They cheaped out and didnt bother to get the actual Imax print, but they still charged me for Imax and still labeled it as Inception: the Imax Experience. False advertising!
side note: the movie itself was one of the best of the decade.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Okay movie, Imax is a waste of $10

This movie is okay at best... making it on par with the book. The book is quite boring if you've ever actually read it, and this film borders on boring. After seeing Avatar on Imax 3d and the Alice trailer before it, I thought I MUST see Alice in Imax.
It is not worth the extra cost here. Alice was not filmed in 3d, but was converted using computers later. The 3d effect is barely noticeable at times, making the extra cost of Imax NOT WORTH IT. In fact, what little 3d there was made it actually more distracting, I actually would have prefered to see it in 2d.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
