After reading the critical reviews, I was a bit hesitant, but went to see it anyway (in 3D Imax) with my father in law. We both were wowed by it. (And having seen more than a few movies in our lifetimes, we're not easily wowed!) The plot, which many critics have derided, I liked -- a bit predictable, perhaps, though it has enough novelties and twists to keep your attention. And the 3D FX are simply outstanding. Cameron has outdone himself (again).
Yes, I recommend this movie.
