Not just the best Trek movie ever made but a great movie for everyone.
The writers achieved an approach that appealed to a fresh audience as well as including dozens of easter eggs for experienced trekkers. (Google Captain Christopher Pike to see the significance of his appearance).
Re-energized with modern special effects and fresh actors, this prequel masterfully charts a course from the origins of the series into, hopefully, strange new worlds where no Trek has gone before with an ending that felt like a very, very promising beggining of a whole new line of Trek sequels.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
