A Great Sequel

I laughed a lot during this movie as well as my two children, 3 and 7. The 7 year old had a great time and watched the movie with no problem. My 3 year old got antsy in the middle but was drawn back into the movie. Go see it.

The main reason I went to Star Trek was because JJ Abrams was involved with it. He usually does a great job with just about anything and doesn't cave into the Hollywood gratuitous scenes. Unfortunately, it didn't happen in Star Trek. But the scenes didn't ruin the movie. Also, the movie didn't follow the original Roddenberry theme either. So if you are die hard Roddenberry fan the movie will not meet your expectations. On the other hand the movie was exciting, thoughtful, and completely entertaining. The way the original crew was woven into the movie was brillant. And at least real actors were cast for the movie unlike another director (GL). I would recommend the movie for its entertainment value.
