They did a good job of paying homage to the original, but it takes too long for the story to develop. I was disappointed.

Tina Fey and Steve Carrell have great chemistry, but the plot is a little thin. Just like the name says though, it's a great Date Night movie!

Truth is a powerful storyteller

If this movie were based on fiction, I'd say don't waste your time. BUT - it is a TRUE story, and as such, is worth a look! Our family saw it together on the day before Thanksgiving, and it was totally perfect for that occasion. I came right home, and Googled up Michael Oher, and there it was - the whole story. Very cool.
If everyone treated everybody else like The Touhy's and Michael, then the world would be a much better place!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
