The movie does re-invent the franchise. I expect other movies in the future. The characters were well thought out and picked. Almost all of them could be a younger version of the original characters.
What I liked about the movie is that it give depth to the actual size of the Enterprise. Well done: and of course there was IMax. Wonderful clarity and sound. Great experience.
