Not What I Expected

Was great as a "stand alone" movie, but being familiar with the various series & movies had mixed reaction. For the most part it portrayed the original characters accurately, but the young Spock character was uncharacteristically "un-Vulcan."
I do see the potential for high caliber future motion pictures and even a possible TV series, perhaps even exploring how some some of the original events may have played out differently as a result the events related to the changing history.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
