First and foremost. This is a summer movie. no thought necessary . That being said, is this a deep movie? no. By no means. Is it a moral movie? Perhaps, pending on you upbringing. Is this a fun movie..... Yes. It has the explosions, the women, the gadgets, and the bad guys EVERY summer movie needs to succeed now days. Leave your brain at the door, grab a soda and some popcorn and show the kids a good time. It is a pleasant reimage of the childhood classic. but that is all. Love it for what it is and do not hate it for what it is not.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

It was really refreshing to see a well put together reboot of Star Trek. I came out thinking that this is what Enterprise should have been. The dialogue was light enough that it was not bogged down with long speeches. And managed to make all of the characters interesting. I do not see much room for improvement ( Except for the door on the creature planet). But over all I would recommend this movie to just about anyone.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
