I'd heard the buzz but nothing can prepare you for the sensory immersion - sight, sound, impact - of this movie. Good story, driven home with a sensitive touch. A few plot twists and I'd have like a bit more background at the beginning but the unfolding story was beautiful.
This movie is truly in spirit of the season. A tale of hope, selflessness, and the joy that comes from giving. Taking risks when there is nothing to be gained. To the extent that this is based upon facts, it is a fantastic tale. Well acted and beautifully scripted.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This is not a documentary in the classic sense. It is more a loving tribute to the talent and artistry that was Michael. It showed his mastery of both the presentation and the physicality involved in the show. His voice was strong and his dancing had lost nothing. The tragedy of his death at such an early age is all the more apparent.
I am a Trekie. Have been since the first series. I had limited expectations and was EXTREMELY pleased with this film. Good story, good characters, fun use of old, well worn lines, enough newness to keep things interesting. My wife (a non-Trekie) even liked it. Good Saturday matinee. The IMAX was great and not too loud.
