I was skeptical going into this movie even though I am a closet Trekkie. All I can say (without giving anything away) is that it was an awesome movie especially considering there have been 5 television series and 10 movies previous to this one.
They nailed the characters and mannerisms of Kirk and McCoy. This DVD will be on my Christmas list this year!
Yes, I recommend this movie.
