Overall, a great ride. I thought the casting choices "made" the movie. Karl Urban as Dr. Leonard McCoy for example was great. Sad to see Simon Peg didn't get much on-screen time, but there is always the sequel.
Had small issues with the changes in the "canon," but overall, will give it a 8 out of 10.
On a side note, if you are going to see it in IMAX, don't sit in front. The action gets blurry.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
